Jiangxi Shidai Mining Lithium Mine Stope Deformation Monitoring Project

The lithium spodumene mine at SPEPC’s Jiangxi Shidai Mining, a subsidiary controlled by CATL, features steep slopes and frequent blasting vibrations. Guilin SPEPC has deployed high-precision visual deformation monitoring instruments, utilizing multi-target scanning technology that enables a single device to simultaneously track 10 targets. Powered by solar energy and transmitting data via 4G, the system connects to a cloud platform for intelligent early warning, effectively mitigating the risk of collapses and ensuring the mine’s safe and stable operations.

Guizhou Wenjiaba Mining Co., Ltd. Slope Safety Monitoring Project

In October 2023, Spepc Technology deployed an automated slope monitoring system for Guizhou Wenjiaba Mining Co., Ltd., installing five sets of integrated tilt monitors (inclinometers), three crack meters, three collapse sensors, and one rain gauge. This enables real-time monitoring of slope deformation, cracks, collapses, and rainfall, along with intelligent early warning, providing data support for safe mine operations.

Monitoring Project for Retaining Walls at the Guilin GT Factory Dormitory and Nearby Residential Areas

The retaining wall is constructed of rubble-masonry concrete; however, since it cannot adequately support the heavy concrete guardrail, the latter has now been replaced with a stainless-steel guardrail to reduce the load on the wall. Currently, localized deformation and settlement have developed in the backfilled slope, causing the entire mass to slide southward. This has resulted in cracking of the pavement in the residential area of the GT Factory on the north side, as well as structural changes to the retaining wall: cracks have appeared, with the left side of the wall exhibiting a 1-meter-long crack up to 7 cm wide and the right side a 2-meter-long crack up to 10 cm wide. These conditions pose a serious threat to traffic safety on the road below and present a significant safety hazard.

Xing’an Yinjian Tailings Pond Automated Safety Monitoring Project

In 2021, Guilin Spepc Technology undertook the automated safety monitoring project for the Yinjian Tailings Pond in Xing’an, deploying integrated inclinometers, crack monitors, rain gauges, piezometers, and video surveillance equipment to conduct comprehensive, real-time monitoring of dam deformation, cracks, seepage, and the reservoir area’s environmental conditions. This system provides automatic alerts when data exceed set thresholds, offering a dual safeguard of scientific technological defense and human oversight to ensure the safe operation of the tailings pond.
