News | Frequent Geological Disasters: Upgrading Monitoring Technologies Is Urgently Needed!

Limitations of Civil Defense

Geological hazards are not entirely without warning—before a geotechnical mass becomes unstable, there are The peristaltic phase of slow displacement.

Before a landslide occurs, the rock and soil mass typically undergoes prolonged, slow creep—displacements that are entirely imperceptible to the naked eye. By the time obvious deformation appears on the slope surface, the system has often already approached the critical threshold for failure.


 

Can't reach

Approaching high, steep slopes, deep mountain ravines, and the leading edges of landslide bodies during heavy rainfall poses inherent safety risks.

These blind spots are precisely where disasters most frequently occur.
