After six months of iterative refinement, they successfully developed an intelligent monitoring and management system fully tailored to the unique characteristics of plateau railways.
The system employs a four-layer technical architecture—perception, transmission, platform, and application—centered on radar‑based monitoring devices and integrating edge computing with cloud‑based intelligent analytics to enable contactless, non‑wearable, and interference‑free all‑weather monitoring of physiological metrics and sleep patterns. According to reports, since its deployment, the Xining Locomotive Depot has achieved a qualitative leap in shift‑standby management: manual room‑inspection frequency has dropped by approximately 70%, abnormal alerts are resolved within an average of five minutes, sleep states are now assessed through precise data rather than subjective judgment, and risks associated with fatigued driving are effectively managed at the source, thereby providing dual safeguards for employees’ health and operational safety.
