The Hunan Provincial Geological Disaster Investigation and Monitoring Institute is a comprehensive geological exploration institution officially established on July 9, 2021, with the approval of the Hunan Provincial Organization and Establishment Office. It is affiliated with the Hunan Provincial Geological Survey Institute. The institute is not only among the first batch of nationally recognized meritorious units for geological prospecting but has also been honored as a National Model Unit for Integrity in Geological Work and a National Civilized Unit, boasting profound industry experience and a strong technical expertise base.

During the exchange meeting, a relevant official from the Hunan Institute of Geological Disaster Monitoring first extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Guilin SPEPC and provided a detailed introduction to the institute’s basic information and development history. The Guilin SPEPC side also briefly outlined the company’s current development status and core competencies. In the subsequent technical seminar, Guilin SPEPC focused on introducing the technical features of products such as the visual intelligent deformation monitor, integrated tilt monitor, integrated crack monitor, and debris flow monitor, as well as their applications in real-world scenarios.

The two sides engaged in extensive and in-depth discussions on key issues such as the pain points in current geological disaster monitoring, the practical application results of IoT technology, multi-source data fusion, and the improvement of early warning accuracy. Experts from the Hunan Provincial Geological Disaster Monitoring Institute, drawing on Hunan Province’s complex geological environment and their long-term accumulated monitoring experience, shared the technical needs and specific challenges they have encountered in their daily work. Meanwhile, the SPEPC technical team, from the perspective of technical implementation and solution deployment, proposed optimized solutions based on an IoT architecture along with related innovative ideas.

This exchange was fruitful. The professional experience and data accumulation of the Hunan Geological Disaster Monitoring Institute complement well with SPEPC’s technological advantages in IoT, big data, and other fields. Both sides look forward to further strengthening communication and exploring the establishment of a long-term cooperation mechanism.
