On November 18, the 2025 China International Emergency Management Exhibition opened at the Beijing National Convention Center as a key initiative under the Belt and Road International Cooperation Mechanism for Natural Disaster Prevention and Emergency Management. Xu Jia’ai, Vice Minister of Emergency Management, and Xia Linmao, Executive Vice Mayor of Beijing, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Xu Jia’ai pointed out that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to emergency management. The Ministry of Emergency Management has thoroughly implemented the important instructions of President Xi Jinping, steadfastly leveraging new-quality productive forces to enhance new-quality combat capabilities, fostering a virtuous cycle between high-level security and high-quality development, and providing robust security guarantees for the cause of Chinese modernization. Hosting the 2025 China International Emergency Management Exhibition at a high standard is a concrete step to implement the Joint Statement of the Belt and Road Ministerial Conference on Natural Disaster Prevention and Emergency Management and to advance innovation in emergency management equipment. We should use the exhibition as a platform to comprehensively pool resources from all sectors, strengthen exchanges and cooperation as well as information sharing, stimulate innovation and creativity across the entire chain—government, industry, academia, research institutions, and end-users—and jointly promote the high-quality development of emergency management. China stands ready to work with the international community to pursue the well-being of our peoples, deepen practical cooperation, accelerate the modernization of the emergency management system and capabilities, and jointly address risks and challenges.

The exhibition is themed “Empowering with New Quality, Smart Emergency Response,” with a focus on showcasing cutting-edge, specialized, and highly efficient equipment—characterized by precision, sophistication, compactness, speed, lightness, and intelligence—as well as their application scenarios and integrated solutions in areas such as emergency management informatization, fire rescue, disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief, workplace safety, and accident response. The event aims to further establish robust channels for matching supply and demand by highlighting the latest technological and equipment advancements in the emergency management sector, foster a healthy ecosystem for the development of the safety and emergency response industry, create a favorable environment for jointly advancing the intelligent, unmanned, and automated transformation of emergency management, and thereby drive high-quality growth in the safety and emergency response industry. Hosted by the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management, the three-day exhibition features more than 300 renowned domestic and international companies and will include over ten events, including equipment supply-and-demand matchmaking sessions, technical seminars and exchanges, and product launch roadshows.

The Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Emergency Management, along with heads of the National Fire and Rescue Administration, the National Mine Safety Administration, and the China Earthquake Administration, attended relevant events.
