Railway Turnout Safety Monitoring Project

Background Introduction
Railway transportation is a critical mode of transport, and maintaining safe clearances between trains and turnouts is of paramount importance. Traditional turnout systems typically rely on manual inspection and maintenance, which can make fault diagnosis and troubleshooting challenging. The introduction of intelligent locks for non-centralized turnouts enhances real-time monitoring and control of turnout positions, thereby providing a higher level of safety and reducing the risk of train derailments, collisions, and other serious accidents. These smart lock devices are equipped with fault-detection capabilities that promptly report abnormal conditions, enabling operations and maintenance personnel to remotely monitor turnout status. This approach improves fault detection rates and response times, lowers maintenance costs, and enhances the reliability and availability of railway tracks.

From 2019 to 2022, Guilin Spepc Technology installed intelligent switches for non-centralized areas at LZN Station, HNAY Station, and LZKJ Station, ensuring the safe operation of the railway tracks.

Monitoring equipment
Install intelligent turnout locks on turnouts and integrate them with a non-centralized turnout management system to monitor turnout status in real time, supporting dispatch scheduling and ensuring the safe operation of hump yards.

2019.09

At LZN Station, a non-centralized turnout management system is implemented to ensure the safe operation of tanker truck access and egress at the oil depot.

2021.02

At the HNAY station, a non-centralized turnout management system is implemented to ensure the safe operation of the hump yard.
